We pledged that we will plant trees

You know when you have a video call and you just connect with someone, well I had one of those great meetings with Jim Holland who is the Co-founder and CEO of Carma. The company plants trees in a direct effort to help tackle climate change and their aim is to remove 1 billion tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere. Another great thing about Carma is they employ veterans to plant trees, some of who may be suffering from PTSD or simply struggling to adjust to civilian life.

Carma plant trees

Here’s what Jim had to say, “We formed Carma after someone we knew who had worked in the Forces found it difficult to resettle after leaving and he took his own life. A large number of veterans struggle to find real employment after leaving the Forces and from my own experience having worked in the Royal Navy for twelve years, I know how it feels to readjust back into normal life.

“At Carma we make social and environmental impact simple and affordable simply by planting trees overseas and in the UK. Carma also works with The Green Task Force who employ veterans providing them with positive pathways through nature-based tasks.”

ViBucard has already pledged that for every new customer we will plant a tree and Carma is the perfect partnership as our goals and ethos are aligned. We already work with Plant My Tree in Germany and want to be able to do this in every country we do business. Currently Vibucard is based in Spain, the UK, Austria, Germany and Scandinavia.
